About Me

My name is Eric Hunt, and I’m studying at Anoka Ramsey Community College in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. My planned graduation date is spring 2027 with an AS in cybersecurity along with related certificates like CompTIA security+, and potentially a CISCO certificate as well. The plan is to continue my bachelors at Metro State in Saint Paul, Minnesota after I get my AS. I am a full time letter carrier for the USPS; with a route in Anoka county. The start my shift is driving to businesses and residential houses, finishing with ten blocks of walking in the city. I maintain many hobbies but my favorites include video gaming, fishing, playing with my dog, hiking with my wife, reading historical books, and watching documentaries. Lastly, I prioritize my spiritual wellbeing by attending Church on Sundays and reading my bible. One of my dream vacations in to visit Iceland.
Work Experience
I have been a letter carrier for approximately eight years. I have had my own route for six of those years. At the post office I have learned many skills. Additionally, I have also learned how to deal with nature by delivering in snowstorms, thunderstorms, heat waves, and most recently walking in extreme wind & rain.

School
My high school graduation was in 2009 from Spring Lake Park High School. Afterwards, I went to the U of MN Morris in the fall of 2009 to study geology; I was there for 1.5 years before leaving. I came to Anoka Ramsey CC for the first time in the fall of 2011 to study business; another 1.5 years. I returned to Anoka Ramsey in the fall of 2025 to finish my degree in cybersecurity and transfer for a bachelors degree. All in all, I decided to focus on my postal career, and It took some exploring, but I’m satisfied with where I am at academically also.
