Web designer with Cinematography Background
About me
My name is Happy Aung and I am a Web Designer with a cinematography background. I am currently studying Computer Graphics and Visualization at Saint Paul College in St. Paul, Minnesota. And my planned graduation date is May 2026 with an Associate Degree. And I made this blog post as a portfolio of my skills developing websites.
I have taken the following classes at Saint Paul College:
- Blogging Applications, where I learn more about RSS and SEO optimization
- Web Fundamentals, where I learned HTML and CSS
- Web Design, where I can experiment on the graphical based website building tools
- 2D Web Animation
- Digital Sound
I am planning to get a web design certificate this semester. And I will still be on my way to get my associate for Computer Graphics and Design after I got my certificate.
I have been wondering what I would like to do for the living and I always go back to my hobbies, like filmmaking, graphic design and animation. Now that I have to choose the career, I am thinking of getting into the web design path as it has the aspect of design with a story for the whole website. So currently, I will be working on my certificate of Web Design. Afterward, I am going to take myself into UI/UX Designer route. For now, I would like to call myself a web designer with cinematography background.
I have been trying to plan a trip to Duluth for a couple of friends and now, I want to do it for more tourists and other people who are interested.

Experience
- Video Editor
Eternity Broadcasting, 2019-2022
I was responsible for the managing projects for the post production. I have to keep the project within the time frame, working with junior editors, and deliver the smoothest videos for the clients.
- Director of Photography (Cinematographer)
Freelance, 2019- til now
I have to try and visualize the scope of the director for the short films, music videos, and commercials.
Photography and Cameras
I have been in the video industry for about 6 years and I have been the video editor for Facebook videos. I also did some motion graphics for the companies and commercials. But currently, I just got myself into photography. Coming from a cinematography background, photophaphy is such a refreshing area to work on and less restraining on both technical and artistic expression. Here are some of my shots.
Web Design and Development
Here are some of the websites I developed and/or designed during my time at SPC.
Digital Signage
This is the project I finished for the 2D web animation class. For the project, I made a digital signage to show in the Apple stores. I try to match the aesthetics of the company, Apple, themselves.
Face Rig Demo
This is the project I created for the 2D Web Animation class and the digital sound combined. I put in the animation from Hype and combined with the mixing and mastering of the Digital sound class and made it into a one coherent project.
Here are also some sites I coded for the web fundamental and Web Design Classes.
