My name is Jen Larson and I am currently a student at Anoka Ramsey Community College. After starting and stopping college multiple times since originally starting in 2006, (and changing my major….. twice!) I am finally expecting to graduate in May 2026 with an Associate’s Degree in Business, Technology, and Industry. I will have also earned a certificate in Social Media Marketing.
My goal for after graduation is to start a business doing social media management, content creation, and digital marketing for small businesses. I already handle this for my current employer, and have a couple of clients already!

- Lead a team of three coordinators in planning and executing approximately 5000 events in 2025, including children’s birthday parties, social events, small and large scale corporate events, corporate meetings and wedding related events.
- Build and maintain relationships with repeat customers and outside vendors
- Sell activities, food and beverage packages
- Create marketing flyers, menus, etc using Canva and Adobe Illustrator
- Manage social media channels as allowed, including content creation
- Train new coordinator staff on software and company policies

Personal Life
I have three kids ages 13, 15, and 21. They keep me plenty busy! I also have 4 sweet kitties.
Outside of school, I enjoy a wide range of hobbies that I am very excited to be able to get back to! I enjoy reading, gardening, home improvement projects and crafting with various mediums. Recently, I started teaching myself how to watercolor paint and photography. When it’s nice outside, you will find me hiking through the woods, kayaking on one of our beautiful lakes and rivers, or on the beach. Above all, my favorite thing is live music. I love going to concerts and music festivals.
This summer, a big goal of mine is to built myself a firepit that I have been wanting to do for years!
