Mystique’s Dogs

My name is Mystique Baron, and I will be studying construction management at North Hennepin Community College (NHCC) in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, starting fall 2025. My planned graduation date is May 2027 with an associate’s degree in construction management. I made this website as a portfolio of my skills in developing websites.

I have taken the following classes at Anoka Ramsey Community College that have assisted with creating this website.

  • Developing web pages, where I learned html and css
  • Written business communication
  • Social media marketing
  • Principles of retailing

Next semester, I will be attending NHCC full-time and taking introductory classes in construction management. I plan on also continuing my studies in web design and social media marketing. In future I want to visit Assateague Island.

I enjoy spending time with my dogs and crafting. The dog in the picture is my now three-year-old Doberman named Theo. I also have an almost 2-year-old mix named Oden who is half Doberman. I started my own small business called Life Line Leashes during my senior year of high school.

My dogs are my lifeline, and they make every day an adventure. I used to be more of a cat person, but after about 1 month of getting Theo, I became a dog person! It is definitely a challenge to manage college and take care of two working breeds. I do have an Instagram account for both of them.

Theo is a stay-at-home medical assistance dog that helps me manage my narcolepsy. When Theo was still a puppy, we started training him to be my service dog. He picked up the training super quickly and was alerting up to 30 minutes before I had sleep attacks at 6 months old. Unfortunately, Theo didn’t have the proper temperament to do public access, so we transitioned him to being a stay-at-home service dog. Theo still helps me a lot and loves going on adventures!

Some fun facts about Theo:

  • He’s called princess
  • He loves being wrapped in blankets
  • Will do anything for a chicken nugget
  • He thinks all stuffies are his

Oden is a giant butterball that is my prospect service dog. He is in the process of learning how to behave in busy environments and some simple tasks. Oden has a pretty solid temperament and is happy to work, so hopefully things work out! His favorite task so far is picking up things I drop. Odens’ training has been delayed due to the lack of time and energy I have had recently.

Some fun facts about Oden:

  • he’s a picky eater
  • loves any fluffy toy
  • acts similar to a lab
  • has a little star marking
